AuthorViz: Visualizing Authors' Contributions in Google Docs
AuthorViz is a Chrome add-on developed by Hana Research Lab at the University of California, Irvine. This innovative tool aims to enhance collaboration in co-authored documents on Google Docs by visualizing authors' contributions. By color coding each author's input within the final revision of the document, AuthorViz provides a clear and intuitive way to identify who wrote what. Unlike the standard Revision-History feature in Google Docs, AuthorViz considers the entire history of the document, providing a comprehensive view of the contributions made by each author.
Originally developed by Trung Nguyen and later taken over by Kenny Pham, AuthorViz benefits from the expertise of James Somers, who provided valuable guidance on extracting accurate data from Google Docs without relying on the Google API.
